OCTOBER NEWSLETTER

Hi,

Welcome to the October Newsletter. I'm seriously not sure where September went are you? But, I hope that you were able to take advantage of that lovely spell of warm dry weather we had in the middle of the month.

So, what news do I have for you as we begin another month?

Well probably the most exciting for me is that the Demonstrator Stampin' Up! Websites have finally been updated & were launched on 11th September. Whilst the old Website has done a fabulous job over the years it was I think fair to say a bit dated & the new format looks far more current, have you seen it yet?

If not use this LINK to check it out:-

https://rosieduckdesigns.stampinup.net/

What I particularly love about it is that it now LINKS straight to my BLOG & all my SOCIAL MEDIA with just a click of a button. All of the Icon's appear on the top right hand corner of the Home Page & will be saving me endless amounts of time adding the different links to everything.
You'll find the SHOP NOW BUTTON on the far right hand side & once you CLICK ON that you'll be taken to the same site as before so the Shopping Experience remains unchanged.

I'm pleased to be able to report that the issues with the Purple Posy Ink have been resolved & the Purple Posy Classic Stampin' Pad can now be ordered, either on it's own or as part of the 2019-2021 In Color Classic Stampin' Pads. Here is the link:-

I did mention this in an earlier Blog Post but just as a reminder available WHILE STOCKS LAST is a Pad of Festive Grid Paper guaranteed to brighten up your Crafting Space. Here is the LINK:-

Mentioned in an earlier Post, but just a reminder that the Clearance Rack was updated recently. Stocks are limited but there are still some great bargains to be had. Here is the LINK to see what is still available:-

Have you heard about this?

This event was established by a Paper Crafting Magazine back in 2006 & is celebrated on the first Saturday of October & so this year falls on 5th October. The original idea behind it was to encourage Crafters to get a head start on the Holiday Card-Making Season. It also offers the opportunity to gather together with Friends & to do some Crafting which is great.

Now I have to be honest & say I won't be spending all of this coming Saturday making Cards, although there will be one or more Posts on my Facebook page. But actually what struck me about this day is the value of giving someone a Handmade Card.

One Website that discusses this Special Day says this:-

"Card Making Day reminds us that the best gifts come from the heart & the hands & vision of the people we love"

As someone who makes Cards, then the obvious thing when you need a Card for someone is to make one (after all we spend a small fortune buying the supplies don't we😂😂) So we can easily think so, I made a Card what's the big deal? But I am continually reminded by Friends how much they appreciate the Cards that they receive from me. Whilst if it is a special occasion I'm more than happy to go that extra mile & make a Special Card, but as much as I wish it did, time doesn't allow you to spend hours on each card does it. So, it's fair to say that the majority of the Cards I send are simple & yet appreciated just the same. This was brought home to me yet again recently when I gave this Card to a Friend:-

(It's very simple, the background design is a ready made Card Front from one of the pieces of the Pressed Petals Speciality Designer Series Paper)

When I handed it to her to Thank her for a gift she had given us I could see the delight in her face & she told me she loves getting a Card from me & has a special box that she keeps them in. I had no idea & it's just another example of how you give a Card to someone without knowing the joy it can bring to them, not because it's an amazing Card but because you took time out to make it for them & gave just a little of yourself.

Stampin' Up! are excited to announce the first Annual World Card Sending Week & they have a goal of 50,000 Cards being sent out (made by both Demonstrators & Customers) during the week which starts on 6th October & ends on 12th October. So, why not take this opportunity to make & send a Card to someone, perhaps a friend or Family member you haven't seen in a while or someone who is going through a hard time. Then again there doesn't need to be any special reason just send a Card to someone to say Hello. One thing is for sure, that small act of kindness will bring the recipient much pleasure. If you would like to take part in this challenge & have your Card counted towards the 50,000, look out for my FACEBOOK POST on Saturday.

Finally for now...............

The Stampin' Up! offices will be closed on 15th-17th October for a Stock take which means that Shipping will be suspended during that time. If you need something urgently please place your Order before 9th October. Whilst you can still SHOP via my ONLINE SHOP during the time the offices are closed, shipping of your Order will be delayed.

More exciting news will follow this month relating to some LIMITED TIME NEW PRODUCTS, so keep an eye on my Facebook page & my BLOG.

According to the weather forecast we are in for a wet & dreary time in the days ahead, in fact as I've typed this the rain has been torrential & there's been Thunder, so the best plan I think is to stay in the dry as much as possible & Craft!!

Have a great October

Take care
