Darling Donkey Card

Hi,

My latest Tutorial features two of the Level one Sale-A-Bration Rewards, the Darling Donkeys Stamp Set & the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper.

Here are the measurements for the Card:-

Base Card  - White Card 8" x 6" scored at 4" on the long side - Style of Card Portrait

(20 cm x 15 cm scored at 10 cm on the long side)

2 x Bermuda Bay pieces of Card cut at 5 3/4" x 3 3/4" (14.5cm x 9.5cm)

one piece is for the first layer on the front of the Card

the other is for the first layer on the inside of the Card

1 piece of White Card cut at 5 1/2" x 3 1/2"  (14cm x 9cm) for the 2nd layer inside the Card where your message/chosen Sentiment will go.

1 piece of the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut at 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" (14cm x 9cm)

Die Cut the centre of this piece of DSP using the largest Crinkle Edge Layering Oval Die

1 piece of White card approx 5" x 3" ( 12.5 cm x 7.5 cm) to Stamp the Donkey on.

You will also need an offcut of White Card to stamp the Sentiment - large enough to be Die Cut using the smaller Oblong Die from the Floral Gallery Dies.

In addition you will need an offcut of Bermuda Bay Card large enough to be Die Cut using the larger Oblong Die from the Floral Gallery Dies.

Product Details can be found at the Front of the Video.

Other notes:-

For a different but authentic Donkey look you could use the Stampin' Blends combo of Smoky Slate Light & Dark. Your Donkey can of course be any colour you choose. Whatever your choice opt for a combo of the Light & Dark Stampin' Blend & colour the Donkey as shown in the Tutorial.

Making the Card without using any Die Cuts:-

Cut a piece of White Card at 4" x 2 1/2" ( 10cm x 6.5cm)

The Corners can be rounded if you wish using the Detailed Trio Punch.

Stamp & colour the Donkey & add the Sentiments.

Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the White Card that has your Donkey stamped on & stick down onto the DSP which in turn has been stuck to the first layer of Bermuda Bay Card & the Base Card as shown in the Video. You can add as suggested in the Video 3 of the Opal Round Embellishments or other Embellishments of your choice.

Instead of stamping a design inside the Card as I did in the Tutorial, I have used a strip of the DSP to decorate white layer inside. I've opted for a strip that is Bermuda Bay in colour but have chosen the paper which is Bermuda Bay with little white circles.

The strip is cut at 1/2" x 4" (1.2 cm x 10 cm)

The actual card that we are adding the strip to is 3 1/2" in width (9cm) by cutting the strip a little longer than the width you require you can stick it down with an overhang on each side. Once stuck trim to size with craft scissors. By cutting it a little wider than you need you can ensure that the strip is fitting the white Card exactly. Once the strip is stuck & trimmed add adhesive to the back & stick down on top of the Bermuda Bay Card that is in the centre of the Base Card.

Both the Stamp Set & the Designer Series Paper are as I mentioned Sale-A-Bration Rewards, either can be yours if you place a qualifying Order of £45.00 EXCL P&P.
