Dragonfly Card

 

Hi,

This is a very simple Card using the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set & featuring the 5 new In Colors

Here are the measurements:-

Base Card in Thick Basic White - 6" x 8" scored at 4" on the long side - style of Card Portrait

(15cm x 20cm scored at 10cm on the long side)

1st Layer Designer Series Paper (DSP) 5 3/4" x 3 3/4" (9.5cm x 14.5cm)

2nd Layer Basic White Card 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" (9cm x 14cm)

1 strip of DSP 1/2" x 4 1/2" (1.5cm x 11.5cm)

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Whilst I have used the Detailed Trio Punch to add some decoration to the 2nd layer of the Card it isn't essential, your Card will look just as nice if the second layer is left as a 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" (14cm x 9cm) plain piece of card as I have done in the examples below:-

Whilst the 5 new colours look great you can choose just one of the colours to use on the Card Front, each new In Color is available separately in a Classic Stampin' Ink Pad here are the details:-

The single colour does however look very effective, here is an example of a Card front featuring Polished Pink:-

Finally, although I chose to use a Sentiment from the Free as a Bird Stamp set & have included that on my Add to Card List, the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set has some great Sentiments & of course you can use any Sentiment of your choice. If as I have done you stamp 5 Dragonflies the Card works well with one central complete Dragonfly. If you chose to use a larger Sentiment I would suggest adding that next where you want it & then stamp the rest of the Dragonflies on the Card afterwards, that way you will know how much of each image will fit without compromising on the space needed for your Sentiment.
